Please take time to read the information below prior to placing an order.
We deliver to most areas of the mainland United Kingdom (and the Isle of Wight). In addition, whilst we can deliver to Inverness, it may take up to three working days from despatch. In order not to waste anyone's time, however, upon placing the first item into your basket, we will request the full delivery postcode and confirm whether or not we can in fact deliver to you.
Delivery is free (Monday to Friday) provided your order exceeds £25 INC VAT. Otherwise the charge is £4.95 INC VAT.
To book a Saturday delivery please contact the office on 0800 781 4785 and place your order over the phone. There is an additonal charge (£19.95 INC VAT) but it should arrive before midday.
You should receive an email from our courier once your order has been despatched. Within that email you will have the ability to track and trace your parcel(s).
Orders received before 3pm (Mon-Fri) are processed that day and are usually delivered the following working day between 8am and 5.30pm. Orders received after 3pm (Mon-Fri) are processed the next working day and are usually delivered the following working day between 8am and 5.30pm.
For clarity, orders received before 3pm on Friday are processed that day and go out for delivery the following Monday (unless you have paid for a Saturday delivery). Orders received after 3pm, and over the weekend (or on a bank holiday), are processed on Monday and go out for delivery Tuesday.
Please also note that, whilst every effort is made to ensure that your order arrives as soon as possible, we cannot guarantee next day delivery. 98% of our parcels arrive the next working day, and almost every parcel arrives within two working days from despatch. Should a parcel not arrive within three working days, and you no longer want it, we will issue a refund.
Finally, whilst we are able to accept instructions to leave an order somewhere on the property (or with a neighbour), with this request the customer accepts full responsibility for the goods. We will not accept liability for loss or damage to goods once instructed to leave a delivery somewhere. In addition, whilst we pass on these instructions, along with your telephone number, the driver is under no obligation to use them. Failure by the driver to follow the instructions or call the customer does not constitute a failed delivery.
In the event that no-one is available to receive the delivery, and the driver is unable to leave it somehwere, it is the customer’s responsibility to re-arrange the second attempt or collect the goods from the local depot. The goods will be held at the local depot for three working days following the first attempt, after which they will be returned to us. Upon their return we will issue a refund less a partial contribution (£6 INC VAT) to the cost of the return journey.
In order to avoid disappointment we therefore recommend that you order your materials as early as possible. |
